Job description / Regal Rexnord / Chicago, IL

As a Grinder Operator at Regal Rexnord in Chicago, IL, you will set up, adjust, and operate CNC or manual grinders to perform various grinding operations such as O/D, I/D, boring, and facing. You will be responsible for following safety rules, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Main duties include:

• Work from blueprints, process sheets, tooling instructions, and charts to identify manufacturing specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and operate two different grinding machines in the department, including CNC, Manual, ID, OD, Centerless, and Face grinders.
• Verify the accuracy of machined work-pieces to specifications using gauges and measuring devices, and ensure proper calibration of preset gauges.
• Inspect your work for correct dimensions and maintain company quality and quantity standards. You may also be required to inspect the work of other operators.
• Compute data such as dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times, and operate multiple machines as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including using hand tools and manual machines.
